The Bandra court has on Tuesday denied bail to Raj Thackeray & remanded him to judicial custody till November 4, Since the Mumbai Police did not demand Raj's custody, he was sent to judicial custody by the court.

Thackeray was presented before a magistrate in the Bandra court, who granted him bail on a surety of Rs.15,000 in the case of attack on north Indian candidates in Chetna College in Bandra.

Earlier, Mumbai police issued a gag order under section 144 against Raj Thackeray banning him from addressing a press or public gathering, or carrying out any procession for the next two months.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief, Raj Thackeray was arrested by the police on 21 October in port city of Ratnagiri of Maharashtra state. Thackeray was arrested early today from Ratnagiri in connection with the attacks on north Indian candidates appearing for a railway recruitment examination on Sunday.
